Despite the specificity of the phrase, no singular, verified viral video or image matching all descriptors achieved mainstream status on Twitter (now X) in 2021. Through a forensic analysis of digital archives (Wayback Machine, Reddit, Know Your Meme), this paper argues that the phrase represents a ghost query —a convergence of several distinct 2021 micro-trends (hand-game aesthetics, fashion-focused thirst traps, and algorithmic confusion regarding the letter “v” as a version indicator or vs. symbol). We conclude that the search term is more revealing of contemporary memory-making than any actual media object.
