Fable 3 saves are tied specifically to the Games for Windows Live profile that created them. You cannot simply drag and drop a save file from the internet into your folder and expect it to work. If you try to load a save created by another profile, the game will either not see the file or warn you that the save is corrupted/incompatible.
Fable 3 automatically searches your storage for a Fable 2 save file when you start a new game.
