The plot is loosely inspired by the 2001 Hollywood film I Am Sam and follows Krishna (Vikram), a man with the mental capacity of a five-year-old child. He fights a custody battle for his daughter, Nila (Sara Arjun), after his wealthy in-laws try to take her away.
