The creature design is spectacular. This Kong walks upright; he is massive (bigger than the 2005 version) and carries himself with a sense of nobility. The CGI (by Industrial Light & Magic) is top-tier, rendering fur, sweat, and scale with incredible realism. The action sequences, particularly the "helicopter swatting" scene and the final battle in the fire, are visceral and weighty. You feel every impact.
