Lakshya is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language war drama film directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles. The film is inspired by a true story and revolves around the Kargil War between India and Pakistan.

The story follows Karan Shergill (Hrithik Roshan), an aimless and lazy young man from Delhi who has no goals in life. After impulsively joining the Indian Military Academy with a friend, he struggles with the discipline and eventually quits. However, his girlfriend, Romi (Preity Zinta), breaks up with him, calling him a loser. This rejection sparks a transformation.
