Industry insiders believe “Freeze” refers not to temperature, but to – a cinematic or digital preservation technique. The numbers 24 08 23 follow an ISO date logic (August 24, 2023). That date, notably, saw a quiet server migration between DIA Studios (Tokyo-London) and a private blockchain timestamping service.

“Project Freeze: Momota performs a 90-second continuous dance. Bourne selects 24 frames (one per second of a 2-second highlight, repeated 12 times). Those 24 frames are then ‘frozen’ as 8K RAW stills, AI-upscaled to 100 megapixels each, and printed on 23-carat gold leaf. The ‘08 23’ is the production batch number – 23 gold leaves.”

The official Dia visualizer (released concurrently) features that flicker and freeze at irregular intervals. The colour palette—muted blues, icy whites, and neon magentas—mirrors the sonic contrast between cold ambience and warm vocal tones. The artwork was designed by Kaito Mizuno , an illustrator known for blending cyber‑punk motifs with traditional Japanese brushwork, reinforcing the hybrid cultural aesthetic.

The star of the show is undoubtedly the model, who was carefully selected to embody the essence of Momota's design and DIA's photography style. The model's poise, confidence, and expression are expertly captured by DIA's lens, showcasing the intricate details of Momota's creation.

So, what makes "Freeze" special? It’s the chemistry.
