Look for C-Media_USB_Audio_Driver_V8.0.0.24 or newer. Avoid files under 2MB (those are just .inf files, not full software).

Go to Windows Sound Settings → Recording → USB Audio Device → Properties → Advanced → Uncheck “Enable audio enhancements” (ironic, but requires disabling then re-enabling default effects). f998 sound card software
