In 2022, a fake “Delhi doctor MMS” ZIP circulated on Telegram. Tens of thousands downloaded it. The payload was an Android banking trojan named “SpyNote.” Victims reported unauthorized UPI transactions totalling over ₹2 crore. No doctor was involved; the name was random. The real culprits were a cybercrime ring in Jharkhand.
